WINNER ANNOUNCED FOR 2026 CAR OF TEXAS
The Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) has named the Genesis G70 as the 2026 Car of Texas, recognizing its outstanding performance, design, and fit for the Texas lifestyle.
This is the fourth consecutive year Genesis Motor has received TAWA’s top honor, highlighting the brand’s ongoing momentum and commitment to excellence.
TAWA journalists tested the G70 Prestige Graphite, a sport sedan with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. Buyers can pick rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Its electronic suspension makes the ride both smooth and responsive. The car comes in Ceres Blue or Vatna Gray, and features dark chrome grille accents and 19-inch dark alloy wheels. These details give it a bold, sporty look that matches Genesis’ Athletic Elegance style.
“With 300 horsepower, razor-sharp handling, and a striking, sophisticated design, the Genesis G70 redefines expectations for a modern sport sedan,” said Marc Newman, president of TAWA. “Genesis continues to raise the bar, earning the top award at the TAWA Auto Roundup for the fourth straight year.”
Genesis also took home the Luxury Vehicle of Texas award at the TAWA Auto Roundup in March 2026.
