2017 AUTO ROUNDUP INFORMATION
The Texas Auto Roundup is an annual event that is held at the famous Texas Motor Speedway where more than fifty journalist members of the Texas Auto Writers Association evaluate the latest cars on the market while interacting with automotive industry representatives. For the event, TAWA secures the TMS infield road course and the surrounding grounds for a newly expanded two-day evaluation of manufacturer provided vehicles.
The event is open to all members of the Texas Auto Writers Association who can use the online registration system to reserve their place at the event.

Sunday, May 1, 2016
Attendees will pickup their registration material on Sunday afternoon at the host hotel located across the highway from the track - the Marriott Championship Circle.
During the Sunday night dinner, manufacturers will present their team and the vehicles that have been entered into the various categories.
Monday, May 2, 2016
Breakfast / Mandatory Driver's Meeting
On Monday morning, during breakfast, as safety is a primary concern at all TAWA events, there will be a mandatory driver meeting before any vehicles may be driven on one of the three routes.
Electronic input will be used for all voting and comments while at the track.
Morning and Afternoon Drive Sessions
We'll have both morning and afternoon drive sessions on Monday where you can evaluate vehicles on the infield track and on public streets.

We're expanding the event with a morning driving session on Tuesday to give you more time to experience all the vehicles on hand at this event.
Voting will continue on Tuesday morning as you finish evaluating all the cars.
Winners will be announced following lunch on Tuesday.
Drive Route 1
only for vehicles designated by the OEM to be on the infield track where all vehicle passengers are required to wear a helmet
Drive Route 2
loop around the outside of the track buildings that represents city driving conditions, including track personnel traffic
Drive Route 3
5.3 mile loop around the track grounds that includes some public roadways that are subject to public law enforcement rules and regulations including an optional freeway loop
