Committee: Durhl Caussey, Ellie Byrd, and Andrew Ganz
Each submission must be accompanied by an official and completed entry form. Please note that the entry form must be affixed to the outside of each packaged entry. A letter, not to exceed one page, may be included with each entry.
Separate envelopes for each entry; all entries in larger envelope
Print and photo entries should be placed in a standard 6 x 9 manila or #10 envelope. For ease of processing, the entry form must be attached to the outside of the envelope. It is helpful if stories are pasted or taped to standard paper so that judges can read the material sequentially.
Print articles and photos must be submitted as tear sheets showing byline, name and date of publication. Photos may be either color or black and white.
Radio entries must be on a CD. They must be sealed in a 6 x 9 envelope. The official entry form must be attached to the outside of the envelope. Include a letter from station general manager or program director attesting to its air date.
In the online categories, entry material may include written stories, interactive graphics, databases, and still or video images, and must be published on the news organization's website during the contest period.
When submitted, the copied material must depict its original publication on the web, not a subsequent update or alternative. An online link to material must remain active during the judging period. The URL should be as short as possible. Online entries should include copies of the material on standard-size paper and placed inside a standard manila or #10 envelope. The official entry form must be attached to the outside of the envelope.
The Excellence in Craft Competition recognizes excellence in automobile journalism. Up to three individuals may be listed on the entry form, but only one prize for each place and category will be awarded.
